These instructions apply to KTRL Portable Smart Patch, model WDC201, an external skin-contact consumer electronic product for men aged 18-60, inclusive. Before application, read the complete restrictions in How to Use KTRL for the First Time. If your model or supplied instructions differ, clarify the discrepancy with KTRL Support before use.

Where to apply KTRL WDC201

Place the patch only on the instructed external skin area between the scrotum and anus, using both the button direction and rear-edge distance to check its position. 1

The 2 cm distance is measured from the rear edge, not the patch's centre or power button. The approximate measurement does not permit using a different application site. Do not insert the patch or place it on the anus or other mucosal tissue. 2

Source: KTRL placement schematic. Not to scale; the diagram does not mark the 2 cm distance. Use the written placement references above.

Identify the button, rear edge and intended skin area before removing the liner. If any of these is unclear, leave the patch switched off and ask support to clarify. A sensation after activation does not confirm correct placement. 2

How to prepare your skin

Prepare the application area 3-5 minutes before intercourse, and apply only if the skin is clean, dry, intact and suitable for use. This interval allows time for preparation; it is not a promised onset time for a benefit. 2

  • Check that the packaging is intact and the patch has no visible damage or abnormality.

  • Clean and dry the intended skin area.

  • Check for wounds, damage, ulcers, redness, swelling, infection, inflammation or another abnormality. Do not apply to affected skin.

  • Trim excess hair if needed, without damaging or irritating the skin.

  • Keep the release liner in place until the skin and patch are ready.

Do not apply if the area has unusual sensitivity, does not tolerate stimulation or has abnormal reactions. Known sensitivity or allergy to contact materials, peripheral nerve or sensory abnormalities, and previous surgery, treatment or ongoing recovery at the application area are also do-not-use conditions. Cleaning the skin does not override them. 1

The complete restrictions also cover serious health risks, electronic stimulation equipment, relevant treatments or medicines, abnormal product conditions, wet environments, driving, machinery and sleep. Read the full first-use checklist before proceeding. Take a health-related uncertainty to a qualified healthcare professional and an unclear product instruction to support. 2

How to apply and activate the patch

Confirm the position before securing the patch, and switch on only when placement, adhesion and all use conditions are satisfactory. 1

  1. Remove the liner. Expose the skin-contact surface only when you are ready to apply.

  2. Check the direction. Point the power button towards the scrotum.

  3. Check the distance. Place the skin-contact surface against the prepared external perineal skin, with the rear edge approximately 2 cm from the anus.

  4. Secure contact. Press firmly for 10 seconds.

You may gently bend the patch to fit the skin. Do not fold it or bend it excessively or sharply. If placement is uncertain or the patch will not adhere properly, do not switch it on. 1

When all checks are complete, hold the power button for at least one second to switch on, and begin tracking powered-on time. The first-use checklist covers the complete operating sequence. 2

When to adjust placement or stop use

Removal and reattachment are permitted for inadequate adhesion or a needed positioning adjustment during the same use; discomfort or an abnormal product requires stopping. Always switch off before removing the patch. 2

Adjusting during the same use

Hold the power button for at least three seconds to switch off. Gently remove the patch, then reattach it in the instructed position if an adjustment is needed. If proper adhesion still cannot be achieved, stop using it and contact support. 2

The limit is 30 minutes of cumulative powered-on time during the same use. Switched-off intervals do not count, and switching on again continues the previous total. An activity pause while the patch remains on still counts. Repositioning does not reset the allowance. 1

Track the total yourself; do not assume an automatic timer or shut-off function. Once use has ended, do not save the patch for another session, even if it remains sticky or apparently powered. Read Can KTRL Be Reused After One Session? for the distinction between adjustment and later reuse.

Stopping for discomfort or a product problem

For pain, stinging, burning, redness, swelling, itching or other obvious discomfort, stop immediately, switch off and gently remove the patch. Do not repeatedly move it to find a position where you can continue through discomfort. 2

If discomfort persists, discontinue further use and consult a qualified professional. A damaged, unusually hot, abnormal or malfunctioning product also requires stopping and contacting support. 2

Frequently asked questions

Use these answers to clarify the placement checks; the complete WDC201 instructions remain the reference for whether and how to use the patch.

Which side of the patch faces the skin?

The skin-contact surface beneath the removable release liner faces the skin. The power button is on the back of the patch and should point towards the scrotum when positioned. 1

Is the 2 cm distance measured from the centre?

No. Measure approximately 2 cm from the patch's rear edge to the anus, not from the centre or power button. 2

Do I need to shave before applying the patch?

The guide instructs you to trim excess hair if necessary; it does not make shaving a required preparation step. Avoid creating skin damage or irritation, and apply only to suitable skin. 1

Does feeling a sensation mean the position is correct?

No. Check the instructed skin area, button direction and rear-edge distance before activation. If placement remains uncertain, leave the patch switched off and clarify it with support. 2
